Capillary Electrophoresis Experiments

The experiments below explore the features of capillary electrophoresis (CE) and the operation of CE instrumentation.  Your instructor may assign a specific experiment or my allow you to select an experiment to complete.  All experiments use the same instrument, the Beckman P/ACE 5500.

• The determination of benzalkonium salts in a household cleaner.

• The determination of inorganic cations in a soil sample.
