Welcome to the Chemical Principles laboratory page. The exercises are listed below in the order that they will be performed during the semester. Check your syllabus for the actual dates.
No later than the week before the first laboratory meeting be sure that you have read and understood the Truman Policies on the Laboratory Safety page and completed the required safety training. Also read the Laboratory Notebook and the Before Laboratory pages so that you are familiar with preparing and keeping a laboratory notebook.
In all of these exercises the Help Me
and More Info links indicate that there is
additional information available on a particular topic, while the
icon will
take you to the exercise's safety overview. Clicking on one of these links will
bring up the information, either in a new window or in a re-sizable pop-up.
ATTENTION CHEM 130 AND 121/131 STUDENTS! Your safety quiz, safety contract and policy contract are on Blackboard. CHEM 130 and 121/131 students must complete the checklist found on the Blackboard page for their course, which includes passing the safety quiz with a score of 100%. The health form must be completed and returned to the chemistry laboratory manager in Magruder 1076.
